Concan Clay Co was established in 1970 with the emphasis on original, one of a kind, wheel thrown stoneware pottery. The company is basically a one man operation using the finest chemicals and clays to produce lasting beauty and durability in each individual piece. Every effort is taken to achieve quality original pieces that have a lasting durability.

I graduated from the University of Texas in 1963 with my degree in Fine Arts with emphasis on clay sculpture and pottery. I went on to direct the arts & crafts program at Fort Sam Houston, Texas (San Antonio) for 25 years. During that time I established the company and worked in my spare time in Concan, Texas - about 80 miles from San Antonio on the beautiful Frio River. The quite solitude of the country side gave me time to contemplate nature and to arrive at most of my design efforts.

Through the Web I offer only a few pieces of my most popular works. From time to time I will send pamphlets to my customers advising them of additional works for sale. Most of the pottery I sell is functional and free from harmful chemicals. Most all is microwavable, dishwasher safe and the oven ware can be brought from the freezer and defrosted in a microwave. Stoneware pieces can be baked in starting from a cool oven.
